Where to go after getting invert?
How do I get past the place with spikes and an iron maiden?

Go to the towers where you fought the two dragons and use invert to get to the top, there's a chest plate that negates all damage from traps up there.

Where can I find this room of spikes?

At the bottom of the tower, where you first enter, reverse gravity and you'll find the Aegis Plate. I have no idea how we were supposed to find this on our own; it's barely visible from the exit at the very top of the tower.

You're supposed to find it by exploring and being vigilant. As far as I'm concered those small unreachable and unexplored pits on my map bugged the hell out of me once I beat the dragons so it was the first spot I checked as soon as I got invert actually. Thought the armor was kinda useless because I didn't know about the row of spikes lol.

(Because the post was already answered legitimately.) Obviously, you go up.

I completely agree. That one was too out of place. I completed 99.80% of the map but could not find this thing.

If you could suddenly reverse gravity, would you test it out indoors?
(It's still a bit obscure, but at least there's a little logic.)

And this is why there are glasses that zoom you out. To give you even more of a view.

You are right indeed, I should have used this. Instead I was equipped with that yellow shard detective eye, that it isn't of any use for required progress items.
