How to avoid download the nerf patch?

Is there any configuration on Steam to prevent the download of the patch without disabling internet on my computer before starting Steam?
I just get the invert ability . How long to beat the game?

Just play. Who cares about this pass? Really doesnt change any of the truly broken combos anyways. Joke attempt at them saying "hey we listen".

I kind of never used all those abilities... The game is still broken as hell either way.

Last time I didn't want a patch, I set auto-update to only 4am-5am and then never ran my computer during that hour of the day.

Auto update now occurs if you try and run a game with an online connection, no matter when your set update time is.

Most of nerfed items doesnt appear long while after beginning of the game.
Beginning of the game is actually hardest.

Without challenge this game is not fun at all.



BTW: Simplest resoultion is to turn off your internet.
Otherwise steam will always force you to update. Wheter you want it or not.

PS: Since it wont change hardest part of the game (beginning) and layter part of the game were boringly easy I recommand you to download this patch.
If you are any good in time you will cry that game becomes too easy anyway.
Roguelikeish games have to be hard. When they are too easy you feel like you grind.

Better to download the updates. They'll hold future content hostage unless you accept their unwarranted nerfs. The game is easy anyways with or without them.

That's probably it But i'm so damn sick of seeing humans indecisive about what they want and just go on and on about what sucks or the like If it's not that they just want more and more and more and that goes on and on

Humans should just learn already that they can't get everything and life and sometimes words are just simply meaningless and there's no need to say anything at all.

Get the GOG version. Galaxy client isn't only optional, but allows manual and TOTAL control, over all features: Game time tracking On/Off, Cloud saves On/Off and obviously, GAME UPDATES automatic/manual! Also, you can easily back up the DRM-Free, offline installers that you need to donwload only ONCE and keep yours FOREVER! And update your game, ONLY if and when large content is going to arrive later; or by using Galaxy, use the "revert to a previous version" feature... Not only be forced to suck in a handful of stupid, completely uncalled for, nerfs, next update come!

Right click on the game in your steam list -> Navigate to "Updates" click "Always keep this game up to date" and change it. There, you won't experience the nerf, but as already stated, you'll be locked out of any future content or bug fixes.

and you have to be in offline mode or disconnected from the internet when launching the game.
