Best way to make money in this game?

I have upgraded pretty much all of my shards...... except for the 8-bit ones.

Unfortunately, the only way to upgrade these is to have a LOT of money to purchase many 8, 16, and 32bit coins.

Are there any guides or hints on what would be the easiest way to make money in this game so I can upgrade the last of these shards as well as the backer weapons?

An alternative to gold farming would be maxing out the Alchemical Bounty shard, making backer weapons, then breaking down the copies with alkahest to get multiple coins/8-bit nightmares more or less for free.

get rank 9 augment gold, equip it twice, find a good place to break lanterns (my location of choice is the underground waterway, a couple of corridors with a load of lanterns there) and break tons of them, accelerator helps, detective eye can make collecting them easier and spike armour lets you break them without attacking without accelerator.

Buy the most expensive items, especially weapons that are made of multiple other weapons, wear Alchemical Bounty, dismantle the weapon and re-craft it until out of space, sell spares with Money Is Power equipped when you have that. Making two loadout shortcuts to swap the shards saves time. This is also a way to make many materials, especially rarer ones like alchemical gold. How rapidly you can do this is limited by how many Alkahest you're carrying, so keep topping off your stock.

the Alkahest costs really eat into your profits, and alchemical bounty is pretty unreliable and ridiculously expensive to upgrade. just farm lanterns with double augment gold. it's quicker, easier, more profitable and takes far less effort to set up.

I agree. I haven't tried it, but the breaking lanterns does appear to be the best option. I am playing slow and cheapish. So, I will make this money only after farming mats for weapons and breaking and selling off spares.

Yeah, once you've beaten the game and powered up a bit, you can easily make 1k/second zooming back and forth across a few lanterns. Money is a non-issue at "endgame."

- Equip your best LUCK items + Gebel's glasses
- Get "augment gold" shard, equip it and upgrade it to rank 9 asap + grade 9
- Upgrade "augment luck" shard to rank 9 + grade 9. Everything's about maxing LUCK to have better results

Smash the three torches, exit the room and repeat. Enjoy your profits (I make 85k gold/min on average)
