Medals dont count towards 100% Items?
Just curious why the medals you get for beating a boss perfectly dont count towards the 100%items

would have liked it that way more.

i got 100% achievments and just feel it happened to fast :) still gonna play hardmode/NG+ and try to get all medals.
i guess i just would love an achievment for that to show off to my friends

You can also cheese alot of enemies on normal mode to get medals when you are maxed out on all shards...

They mentioned in the kickstarter there wouldn't be impossible achievements so that casual players can still fully achieve everything. Boss rush modes, no damage medals, and maxing out every shard or hitting lvl 99 or beating nightmare mode are all optional personal passtimes that aren't required for the Overlord achievement.

I'd say hellhound makes the no damage medal quite easy though, even for a casual...

Only if it's fully farmed, other shards are fully farmed, and you're level 99. My hellhound did 600 dmg for the longest time endgame. Casuals aren't going to keep playing to grind XP or beat the game on higher difficulties or cheese bosses they already beat and need to start a new game or rush mode for. It's all pointing to excess that hardcore fans love but average people wouldn't bother with.

Beg to differ. Haven't even farmed it, or maxed its size. Or minmaxed for casting potential. It still hits for over 600 on nightmare. It's basically a cheat tool with no reason to exist other than getting casuals medals. But without having an achievement for them at the end of it.

With its mana cost, 600 dmg isn't much given the 6000 health bosses can have. If you're cheesing the game with glasses and standstill then there are plenty of other ways to beat bosses that fast. Heck gun builds can kill bosses just as fast as a maxed out hellhound hitting for 4000 dmg.

That's "builds" though.

5/1 hellhound with an int shard equipped and all you have to do is dodge some hits to win, maybe even have some of the bigger ethers with you.

We're not talking about what is the best build, merely how easy it is to medal bosses. And bsrotn makes it pretty damn easy with minimal effort. xP

hmm, well it makes sense, but shouldnt "casuals" not get 100% normally? 100% should be something you have to do some stupid stuff for, at least in my opinion and in a lot of games as well
