I am talking more about the shopkeepers. I interact with them the most, and they are dreadful. David Hayter sounds great as usual. That does not make up for the rest of them.
The only other voice that liked was Nancy's. KILL THOSE MURDERS DEAD!.
I don't know. I should say the singing was superior in Japanese, but I havnt listened to too much of the voice acting in Japanese. It sounds a little more lively and the English sounds more flat and monotone and boring, even from Miriam. I know you guys like her, but she is just as bland as the shopkeepers to me. She just sounds like she is there to get it over with, like it's just another day, like she is going through her grocery list, one item at a time.
I am curious as to what a Japanese speaker thinks of the Japanese voice acting in general.
The Japanese singing is just as cringey as the english.
As for for the voice acting they're both quite competent. The english script however, is pretty watered down and generic, and much like Tekken, severely lacks any cultural nuance or context present in the japanese version.
typical weeaboo pointy elbow thread.
The game's character sounds as well. Every time (Miriam?) swings her sword "HA! HA! HA!" I was going to go nuts. I muted voices, and it's been better.
.
There are a couple of lines that the person in charge of the voice acting should have done re-takes on (some unnatural cadences/pauses, mostly), though that's a fairly common thing in voice acting in general and I think it's just less noticeable if you don't speak the language you're listening to.
PLEASURE DOIN' BUSINESS!
Anyway, in all seriousness, i was ok with the English Voice acting, nothing great (Except for David, the guy is amazing obviously), but not bad either. The ...singing...one tho ...I'm sorry for whoever did it, but ...the poor girl cant sing for the life of her.
