Risk Ring...hmmm
Pretty awesome ring even though has huge negatives. I was wondering if there was a build using this ring? Is it even possible to offset the negatives?

You wouldn't want to offset the negatives, you'd want to amplify the positives, or just not use it. Stack overwhelming offense to crush the enemy faster.

Risk Ring seemed pretty horrible to me. Lose almost all your defense for 15 Str/Int, while Cursed Ring takes away almost nothing for 10 Str. And from what I can tell, physical Directional Shards scale with Str too, including some incredibly OP ones. So there was never a reason to use Risk Ring over, say, 2 Cursed Rings.
Thanks for replies.

Risk/Cursed Ring is good for Sorcery/Gunner glass cannon, if you're good for evasion.

If you go melee, go for 2x Silver Power Ring.

Risk Ring is for players who don't get hit. There's even boss medals that drop if you beat the boss without taking damage. If you are constantly getting hit then there's no point but it's for assassins who play dodgeball.

I used it for no hit runs, otherwise you'd be better off using two curse rings in normal circumstances. It may not seem like it, but if you don't feel like resetting after making a mistake, that increased damage can reset you faster by dying. Otherwise, it's not as good as previous items in the series, but can still be useful.

If you think the Risk Ring turns you into a glass cannon, then you need to play
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for DS. The Death Ring in this game boost your stats even more (Dominus Agony makes it even more insane) but you are getting one shotted by absolut everything.
