Best farming setup?

What's the best way to make money? What do you equip, where do you go, and what do you do?

Looking for all three components of that question.

It's boring but I just equip use Augment Gold (You unlock the recipe to craft that shard by having a few Augment Luck from the silver mimics) and break lanterns. I have the shard equipped and have it equipped as a passive.

Another method is killing bats in a cave to the right of the location found in the guide, although on normal (not sure about hard) there are no bats. On nightmare, at least, up to 12 bats can be found in a short distance. I get more gold doing candles (roughly 70k per minute or more with a certain pair of glasses), whereas killing bats got me 64k per minute.

Augment gold shard at 9/9 + equipped, accelerate shard, gebel's glasses and whatever item gives you the highest luck stats in that respective gear slot. Then look for a small room with a good number of candles and speed back and forth for a while. Also helps if you got O.D.'s books that increase luck.

I usually do this at the castle entrance in the first room with the 4 breakable statues. It's boring but you really rack up some cash that way.

Items you want for the most luck:
- Ribbon or Valkyrie Tiara
- Valkyrie Dress
- 2x Gambler's Ring (or possibly 1 ring + a certain pair of glasses!)
- Bunny Scarf

Shards:
- Words of Wisdom rank 9, grade 9 if you're not wearing a certain pair of glasses!
- Augment LCK rank 9, grade 9, and equipped
- Augment Gold rank 9, grade 9, not equipped (it doesn't seem to benefit running it twice)
- Accelerator Rank 9, not sure if grade does anything but it couldn't hurt

Food: everything that gives luck and mana regen if you're not using special glasses!

The guide linked above provides the location that is best to do candle runs on.

I had over 800k gold when I fought the gambler boss the first time... I think it really WAS 30 minutes, lol.

Current loadout: Accelerator 9/9 (this is mandatory), Augment LCK 9/9 (double-stacked), Augment Gold 9/9 (passive, double-stacking does not appear to increase the amount), Detective Eye 9/9, Valkyrie Tiara, Gambler's Ring, Gebel's Glasses, Bunny Scarf. All of OD's books (so both LCK and speed buffs)

Start up Accelerator and just keep moving between the candles labeled 3 and 7 on the screenshots to rack in 40-70k gold a minute.

I can assure you it most definitely does increase the likelyhood of 1000 and 2000 gold bags. I get rougly 30% more in the same time period with Augment gold double stacked than I do with double stacked luck.

I just break the 2 candles in the alchemy room and the next one, made a few mils easily no need for accelerator (i didn't had it at the time)

I can assure you it most definitely doesn't. I've done two five-minute farming runs in the same location, ended up with identical results (364k each). This is actually a change from my previous results where Augment LCK seemed to provide marginally higher (10%) results than Augment Gold.
It's possible there is an upper cap to how frequent the bag drops are.
