What is the point of shadow tracer?
i don't get what it does besides make a copy. does it double melee damage?

It copies your moves. Only tested it on rank one and it does only reduced damage. Possibly this changes if the rank is improved.

They only copy physical moves. They will not copy shards.

You need to level up the grade... Except there is only 1 doppelganger enemy in the game... Developer oversight.

Rank 1 is 1 shadow clone doing 30%.
Rank 9 is 3-4 Shadow clones doing 30%...

I think if you get the grade to 9, your clone damage raises up to 90~100%.

I don't think its really an oversight, but an attempt to have you beat the game again. Like OD's Standstill, the remaining shortcuts, and Silver Knight copies

Hopefully Co-op mode means you can join other games using your save and 'earn' shards and stuff to bring back to shorten the length of grinding.

They're behind you which really makes the shard useless and they don't really hit anything.

They follow your movements, so if you take a step back first, you can attack with the clone with a melee weapon I think.

Or, just use a gun. They work with guns, pretty sure.
