If you don't like it - don't use it. The whip or anything else possibly can't be improved or changed in any way as someone might like the status quo.
Also, you don't own the game on steam, so you basically don't know what you're talking about and are a troll.
...No, it doesn't. It's like two people talking about the plot of a movie, when one of them watched it on VHS and one of them watched it on Bluray. As long as the issue they're discussing is something that is the same in both versions (plot, or in this case weapon function) and not something that varies (image quality, or for the game I suppose things like Alchemist Boon strategies, as I've heard those are different on platforms), then the format they used to watch it doesn't matter.
Also, why are you even here? You said "If you don't like it - don't use it. The whip or anything else possibly can't be improved or changed in any way as someone might like the status quo." Why even bother wasting your breath on this? This is true for games in general, and things get changed all the time. If you think "deal with it because change might displease others" is a valid argument to shut down discussion, when discussion of this sort is a valuable tool in gauging whether something should be altered and how and how much pushback there might be, you're wrong.
I think if enough people complain about the whip.
Not about the attack power of the whip, I've learned and accepted that it won't compared to the big peen swords, axes, scythes, hammers ect. There will be no Vampire Killer in Bloodstained.
But about the way the whip is used, ya know the Belmont-style of just attack in a straight line in front of you. Classic crack of the whip we grown up with. I'd like to have that. Perhaps ONE more technique of Double Tap Forward for Critical Strike with a flame graphic on the whip, like Jonathan Morris in Portrait of Ruin.
I don't believe you for a second. You were clearly trying to antagonize, and pulling a "same team bro, I was just trying to show you what a troll WOULD say instead of actually being a troll, it was all an act!" isn't fooling anybody.
Also the Switch version has general input delay, it's pretty bad.
I didn't have much confidence in the Switch port given not only was it delayed for a week, but the screenshots on the store page were clearly from the PS4 version.
That was a complete red flag for me.
Also as for the whip, I've had a few hit detection issues with the lamps but it seemed to work alright.
If you want the old straight line whip. Might I recommend the other game they released, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.
Whip-Sword? Can that be picked up without Iga's Backpack? The Switch version never got any of the DLC the Steam version did.
Yeah, you made the right choice to not get the Switch version. The graphics are all low res and it still has occasional fps spikes and load times between room transitions. It's not optimized at all for the Switch, but I wanted it to play in handheld and...I can never refund it because Nintendo's horrific policy, what a horrible mistake I made...
I saw screenshots of Curse of the Moon, is it a Metroidvania? Because to me it looks like the old NES Stage-to-Stage format or whatever and that's just not what I'm looking for.
