Shoes: Hell’s Knells (45 ATK)
Daggers: Mandau Pasir (45 ATK)
Rapiers: Joyeuse (52 ATK)
Swords: Blue Rose (58 ATK)
Clubs: Mistilteinn (52 ATK)
Greatswords: Eternal Blue (84 ATK)
Katanas: Grand Izayoi (51 ATK)
Spears: Gae Assail (46 ATK)
Whips: Andromeda (52 ATK)
Firearms: Adrasteia (26 ATK + Bullets)
Shoes: Easily avoid enemy attacks by bouncing on them. No damage clear for the win. Spam techniques in midair (the only ones that work in midair).
Daggers: Spam assassinate to win and you're effectively immortal.
Rapiers: Press X to Unleash Hell.
Swords: Pretty good variety of techniques, speed, and damage. The best all-arounders.
Greatswords: Not that slow with Optimizer enhancements and do high damage per hit to overcome defense.
Katana: Jinrai is OP.
Spears: Charge across the screen spamming stabs for as long as you hold down the button.
Whips: Hit everything everywhere in every direction.
Firearms: Rapid Fire Diamond Bullets with Recycle Hat will kill basically anything safely.
But what the hell are CLUBS for?? Who uses these things? Tryhards?
you got the grand izayoi wrong. it has 58 attack when you max it out and not 51.
Honestly even if it was highest DPS the fact that you have to button mash like crazy to actually get above the damage of endgame weapons is way too tedious for me.
Club is just a blunt damage sword, for game purposes.
Am I to assume that it functions like SOTN’s Muramasa and gets more power as you absorb blood? If so, then that’s why the ATK value is what I listed it as. As mentioned in my previous post, the only katana I personally use is the Zangetsuto for the fight with Gremory. I also only use Blood Steal for draining the fountain, so the Izayoi’s power would be lower as a result.
Sword: Encrypted Orchid, Valkyrie Sword/Bandit Blade (if you like the tech)
Dagger: Mandau Pasir (rapier is preferable unless you want access to dagger techs)
Rapier: Redbeast's Edge
G.Sword: Ukonvasara
Katana: Grand Izayoi
Spear: Sculptor's Chisel? Haven't played with spears much. Sanjiegun (if you like the tech)
Club: Mistilteinn or Prismatic Heart?
Shoes: Hell's Knells, Boreal Rime Boots, Oleanders
Whip: Ambivalence
Gun: Adrasteia, Renee's Requiem
Special: Shield, Oracle Blade, Rhava Velar, Swordwhip. Shield for defense, Oracle Blade/Swordwhip for range (guns are better, imo), Velar if you want a Criss build
I'm not sure if there's a difference between the two clubs listed, nor what the best shoes are. The Rime Boots have an annoying movement slowdown at the start of your walk/run attached to them and Oleanders do less damage but inflict poison.
That's why I duel wielded them, then I would mash both buttons. Even if you got 999 with muramasa, it didn't beat duel wield button mash with crissaegrims.
but yea the rhava velar is over rated because i mean yea you can do tons of damage to a single enemy but it has no techs and no utility and thats why it loses to the grand izayoi. i can kill revenant just as quickly with the grand izayoi as i can the rhava velar by spamming jinrai is what i think its name is and it can hit everything in front of you in a straight line to boot.
to be honest the rhava velar really isnt that much superior than the spiral greatsord because in both ways its just a lot of chip damage with both. i mean you could beat the game with the spiral greatsword without issue but its not the best wich is the same reason why rhava velar is not the best.
just lots of numbers on screen. that is it.
I do have to agree though that Son of Crissaegrim isn't great. It's like the one thing they realized was bonkers and nerfed it. It's merely good.
