I found a weapon that had an identical attack animation, but it was more like a cucksaegrim. Are you talking about like an ultimate version of the one I found from a drop?
But there are a LOT of weapons that rank fairly closely in end game.
High end shards are objectively better DPS then high end weapons though.
As for weapons, I never found anything that came even close to the Eternal Blue in damage. I was swinging that thing two times a second for 900-1100 damage non-crit.
I have every yellow shard at rank 9, which includes two attack speed boosts.
I use Void Ray, as well as the light version of it for enemies resistant to darkness. I also use the 8-bit fireball at 9/9 for bosses, since it one shots even nightmare bosses in just one or two shots, unless they have 'phases'. For example, the train. I did way over its health pool in seconds, but it always has to get off one attack and will have one hit left no matter how much damage you do.
I mean, people think Crissaegrim is the strongest weapon in SoTN despite that not being true as well (even if we ignore that a maxed Muramasa can have 999 atk after 1 million swings). It's very likely not even close to the best, but people REALLY like seeing a lot of numbers.
Also, objectively is hard, because big one hit stuff doesn't matter if it kills in one hit and then you have stuff like the Encrypted Orchid which have a stun effect that makes it easier to keep hitting a boss.
Ultimately, it HEAVILY depends on your level and stats and what you're attacking.
For bosses, I killed everything using bunny kick in just 1 spam without trying to max the skill through stats, I grinded 0 stats and still oneshoting last boss phases... It was almost obnoxious. Every boss died the same through a flurry of bunny girl kicks...
