Note that you can bring out the book for the strength buff, and then switch to something else and still keep the buff.
Silver knight outclasses bloodbringer by far and the book is useful for the strength buff.
Had to google it too because I always forget: Carabosse
Turns out that this name was used in several really old fairy tales for evil fairies, including the original "Sleeping Beauty" in which she got renamed Maleficent in later iterations.
So kudos for the effort of digging up and using actual folklore.
The knight is nice for the blocking of spells but aside of that I found it pretty useless. The damage of all of them is pretty low if they even hit their target before I kill it or in general.
That's why I usually go with the book. At least the strength buff is helping me without the AI having to hit anything in time. The fairy can be nice but the fact it consumes items always annoyed me. And on top of that it seems to be bugged for some people and not actually heal them even though they have the items for it (never was a problem for me though).
