Farming Gold component?
Where can I find the gold component? I don't see it on any farming charts.

You can farm it from the Hidden Desert chests that respawn. You will get random drops from them all, sometimes gold.

I just did it like 5 mins ago to finish some items.

Took me about an hr farming dark mater from dark elems right out side of the Sorc Lab waypoint. Once you craft 1 you can buy it for 15k. May be worth the grind if you plan to 100% the items, I lost alot of time waiting for alch points to come up to burn items that give 1-2 gold. Also if you craft the gold armor 1st you can buy it and diassemble it for 2 gold.

Of course if you want to torture yourself a little more, instead of buying it directly, buy its components instead and hope you hit that tiny chance of Alchemic Bounty giving you extras. Never mind that Alchemic Bounty needs 9 gold each for three of its upgrades. :rbrbr2:

I just saved up to craft it then in late game you can farm insane amounts of money in a few minutes so I just bought a bunch of it that way. It seemed like the most efficient to me.

How far in are you?

If you have to ask...
I've beaten the game but it matters for what options they have available to them.

Once you have completed a craft recipe, she sells the item. So if you get one dismantle it and then remake it. Dark matter and gold are both reasonable things early on to dismantle and then remake them. Then you just farm or grind coins to buy the actual items instead.

Some things unfortunately never get sold by Dominique, but a lot of other things you can just sort of fake it to make them available.

As for the gold component coming from chests, I am pretty sure I have gotten a couple out of chests, so somewhere, you can get it from chests. But it might not be a reliable reward every time you do those chests so it won't be on a farm list.

You can literally farm 10 dark matter in 5 minutes by killing dark elementals.
Make 1 gold, then you can buy gold. Easy life.

I'd like to have your luck.
Gold and Dark Matter are the most annoying to farm.

You can buy the gold, but will be twice more expensive in comparison with buying the Alkahest and using to break Ayamur.
You can farm for tons of money to buy it, or do what I do, that takes less time.

Go the desert and move left to reach the water area. At the room with the Living Fossil there are 2 Amys that drops 2x Alkahest each. Move to the left area, and kill the other Amy (and pehaps a frog), go back and kill that 2 Amys again. Do that till you get at least 90 Alkahests. Go up to the water zone and you will find an Glashtyn (water horse). Kill it, go left, go back, kill it again. Get at least 9 Ayamur. Use you waystone and break it. Now you got 9 gold.

Poltergeists also work if you aren't at the Hidden Desert yet.

Same. More like 1 dark matter in 5 minutes that ♥♥♥♥ never drops even with max luck.
In hindsight still a better plan than farming ayamurs though.
I'm lucky to get one in fifteen plus minutes. That 1% drop rate.

And there is a good spot with 3 of them at the tower.

But if you reached the point of finding a Glashtyn, then you reached the desert.

Fair point on the Glashtyn.

That said the real 200IQ play is on previous page. Just get 1 gold in any way, dismantle it, then recraft it into gold.

Yeah, if you have a lot of money. Before you get Augment Gold up, it's not as easy to come by.
