Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Statistiche:
OVERPOWERED SHARD: Welcome Company -- Needs Nerf
Welcome Company is a shard you get from the poltergeists (floating paintings). It does not have a low drop rate, I received 3 or 4 shards from 15 or so kills.

It creates a barrier of books around you that do considerable damage to foes, and lasts a long duration.

The skill is so OP that I cannot use any other shards, because they don't do nearly as much damage and are nowhere close to as effective.

Before the shard, it was a challenge to kill Zangetsu... After the shard, the stained glass golem/spider boss melted within 10 seconds of me running up to it and spamming auto attacks. No challenge, didn't get to see his mechanics, boring.

Please nerf this shard, because players shouldn't have to have the willpower to avoid using OP things when they are available to them. Or, in other words, the game needs to be balanced

The skill is very OP and makes the game a joke and It's already very easy.

Lot's many weapons, skills and shards combos are OP too while most are actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Most skills, shards and weapon serve no purpose while others are way too strong. Game would benefit from some balancing.

Still it was a fun game. Looking forward to replaying on a higher difficulty from the start and trying not to use the broken stuff.
I love it tbh. Gets rid of all those annoying bats! I am 80% through the map and bats are still the most annoying thing to deal with. Dull hummerheads at second because they don't make that squeaky noise.

Welcome party is a welcome op spell for me XD
Only thing that bothers me a bit is she has to say every time: Arise myself and my shadow! And idk why she says that.
nerfs in a singpleplayer game, man some people just needs a punch in their faces^^
maybe so.....but its absolutely tremendous for platforming in areas w/ the flying madusa heads

Maybe try from doppelganger onward on nightmare before spouting sweeping incorrect assumptions. 9/9 WC is mid tier at best.

Lots of bad players getting mad the at prospect of having their I-win-button shard getting nerfed. It does have a major drawback, though: having to look at the backer portraits.
Anne is OP, should be nerfed.
Welcome Company is a nice defensive/utility shard, and while very useful it is *far* from broken. If you want a broken shard, try Directed Shield (dropped from Shield Outsiders). It blocks everything except grabs, which to my knowledge only three bosses (Gebel, Valefor, and OD) have, and gives you invincibility frames for a few seconds after blocking any attack. You are effectively invulnerable in whatever direction you point the shield in.

By comparison, Welcome Company effectively gives Miriam a barrier to inflict contact damage. Due to how the game works, this makes it ideal for shrugging off weak enemies like bats, Dullahammer Heads, and Maledictions as well as completely nullifying any projectile that doesn’t penetrate solid objects. The paintings themselves do below-average damage even at Grade 9 and break apart after doing/receiving enough damage, necessitating constant recasting of the spell. They also do not protect against melee strikes nor give invincibility frames, unlike Directed Shield.
about the only thing that would need to be done to "nerf" welcome company would be to change its upgrade items to make it take longer to get to 9/9, aside from its ease of upgrade the only reason it seems more OP then everything else (fun fact: basically every shard is OP at 9/9) is that it's easy to use.
i mean if you really think welcome company is op you didnt try any of the other shards

If your whining was any higher pitched, dogs would be exploding.

Git gud instead of crying more.
Things like this exist on purpose. Try out SOTN.
Welcome Company IS OP.
Because those picture are backers.

Such a dumb thing to say. Because of several problems on my motor functions, I'm basically unable to play most platformers apart from Igavanias, which had items that influenced the game's difficulty since SotN. Familiars, the classic shield rod attack etc.

Why is more people being able to enjoy the game bad again? What's so wrong with it?
