Just verified this, this is true. It can be done regardless if the mask is equipped or not. I searched for a topic on the holding up thing and saw this thread, then thought it must have been the mask which I had equipped at the time.

Yeh, tho its still neat, lots of JoJo refs in this, the hamon training mask, and the Silver Knight is clearly a ref to silver chariot, no one can convince me otherwise.
