Running Problems

I have been having similar problems running this game as others players on Windows 10. Besides the common loading issue, there is an even more frustrating problem when I quit out of the game where it changes my desktop's resolution. I actually had to go into my PC's settings to revert it back to 1920x1080. Any pointers for fixes would be appreciated.

I believe I only installed the Visual Upgrade which also includes other fixes including resolution. After installing, instead of Alt-Tabbing out when loading saves or transitioning into new areas, the screen just goes black for a few seconds before showing the typical loading screen. That was within my tolerance.

Also, I think the fix creates a new .exe that you have to use or the fixes won't be implemented.

I second Visible Upgrade. It made all the difference. Also, some overlay-type programs and such will cause the game to either hang or lock your computer when loading a new area. The Logitech Gaming Software is one. I believe Overwolf is one and there are several others.

I am shocked by how easy of a fix that was. I downloaded the full version and it fixed the loading problem exactly the way you said it would and 1920x1080 was available in the settings. Appreciate the help.

This is the reason I've stuck with unsing Windows & Pro and avoiding using Windows 10. I like to run older AND new games. I've found that Win10 dowen't play well with others.
