Secret Password?
Hi! I found a little easter egg while I was Misao: Definitive Edition! I was in the 2F library, looking for the Lady-eyed Stranger book, so Could collect the death for it. However, when I was looking for the book, I clicked on a space near the far right bookshelf. Its the bookshelf up against the wall closest to Ms. Library's room. It made the in game pop up with a fake error message. After I clicked Z, it popped up with this speech box that said:
"Rumor has it President Onigawara has a secret password hidden somewhere. I looked all I could, but found nothing. Can't that old man do anything other than save and load? Oh, someone is coming..." I thought it might have to do with the Gallery, or like how in the other versions of this game, if you have a password, you can unlock the "???" option and find out about the creators and fun facts about the game. I thought the "???" option would pop up if I went back to the title after finding this message but to no avail.
I wanted to see if anyone else found this in the Definitive addition of Misao, and if anyone found out what to do about this? I really need to know, my curiosity has gotten the better of me and I can't figure it out!!! HELP ;-;

I know this is super late, but I think I might have an answer! Unfortunately it's not as exciting as you may expect. To sum it up; I believe that this event is a remnant from early in Definitive Edition's development that the devs forgot to remove.

After a bit of fiddling I was able to get it to trigger myself (as the girl) and I read the error message. I'm not a programmer by any means, but after doing some research, this error message is real. It's RPGMaker not knowing how to play the event because assets are missing (notably the .ogg file it mentions).

I think what happened is that early in the remake's development, the layout of the library was different than what appears in the final game (which is why the error message only triggers when the character is looking up, the same direction they have to face to interact with the other bookshelves) and the trigger for a bookshelf that USED to be in that spot was left behind by accident.

The reason why I mentioned playing as the girl character earlier is because when the text box appears, Library's portrait is loaded. BUT, if you play as the boy, Onigawara's portrait is loaded instead! I tried to trigger this in HD Remaster, but it doesn't work which I think further proves that this is unintentional, as cool as this would've been.

I hope this helps! It was cool learning something new about a game that I have a soft spot for!
