Renaming "Miss Library" Easter Eggs
When renaming Miss Library, I tried playing around with a few names. Here are the Easter eggs I found for anyone curious. While I have played the original version of Misao, it was so long ago, I cannot remember whether these all are old finds or new additions to the Definitive Edition.

  1. Starting off, if you have no originality or simply don't care ( you monster! ), leaving Miss Library's name as "Library" creates the situation:

Main Character : You know, Miss Library is fine. Sorry, I couldn't think of anything else...
Miss Library : N-No, that's fine! I'm actually rather fond of the name Mr. Onigawara gave me.
    MC : (Onigawara's awfully unimaginative...)

  2. On the other hand, choosing the name you named yourself goes as:

MC : Naming her the same as myself is just asking for confusion!

  3. Similarly, choosing "Misao" resulted in:

MC : Misao... would be way too confusing...

  4. Ironically, going with "Onigawara" leads to:

Miss Library : I don't wanna have the same name as the president!

Unfortunately, trying any other of the characters' names does not elicit any abnormal dialogue or scene.

  5. Lastly and perhaps the most interesting, what I also noticed when talking to Miss Library and exploring the library/dorm room (and I'm sure many other fans have as well) is that she shares many similarities with the main character, Aya, from Mad Father. Her mother's picture is even located in the connected dorm room. Not to mention, Onigawara is essentially the same as the character Ogre from the aforementioned game. This should not be surprising as both games are created by Sen.

When attempting to name Miss Library "Aya", the dialogue proceeds as follows:

Miss Library : That name won't do.
    MC : Huh? Why not?
Miss Library : Father's the only one who's allowed to call me that name... Heheh.
    MC : I-I see...

And, that's all! I would include screenshots but I'd like to finish playing this on Halloween night first. Let me know if there are any other ones I missed.

Naming her Maria also triggers a unique response. Something about her not really liking the name.

I'm told some of these responses were in the "3.0" update to the original game, but I never played that version, so I can't confirm or deny that. It's pretty cool that these were added, at any rate.

So, it sounds like these are the names we know have responses so far:
- Library
- Misao
- Onigawara
- Maria
- [PC name] (doesn't stick)
- Aya (doesn't stick)

I wonder if any other names from Mad Father have responses... (Like maybe Ogre, since it's the same person as Onigawara.)

I also have a screenshot of part of the "Aya" version of the event: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1180760011

The interesting thing about this line for me is that Misao is implied to take place after Mad Father, so Novella/Miss Library is probably the homonculus clone of Aya seen in the bonus scene of Mad Father. That means that Alfred might consider the replacement "Aya" to be the same as the original. Depressing, but also in line with his insanity...

Side note: Sadly, "Novella", the original default name, doesn't have any special dialogue. Not that I should have expected it to, though.

If someone else doesn't do so first, I may try "Ogre" and "Drevis", though I doubt the latter has any comment, since it was originally a surname...

For the record, "Novella" was purely a name the original translator came up with, as she felt Library should've had a more proper name as her default.
With that in mind, I'm not surprised that naming Library that doesn't trigger any sort of special response.

Damn... I need to replay Mad Father soon. Totally have forgotten most of the crazy sh*t that happens.

I've tried most of the other names from Mad Father, to which none elicit any other abnormal response. Funny, since I'm sure I had tried Maria and thought nothing happened. *shrug*

She also has comments if you name her Maria.

Miss Library: I don't... really like that name. B-But I'm fine with it! If that's what you want!

What about Aya's mothers name?

Aside from "Aya" and "Maria", I don't believe any other names from the characters of Mad Father lead to unique dialogue.

Novella is actually pretty cool; I was unorginal and just named her "Brary" from library... also another easter egg from Mad Father if you can even call it that is that Aya father shows up even wielding a chainsaw! The only thing is his skin is seen has purplish which I'm unsure why exactly.

To put this simply it was already pretty much said that Mad Father is in a way a prequel to Misao
