Removed Hell's Kitchen Audio? (SOLVED)
Just bought this game today, and while I was researching the differences between normal GOTY, to see what extra goodies it had, and saw that by accident the audio from a map called Hell's Kitchen is removed, but if desired, downloading some files can restore it. I was wondering, is it worth it to do so? I'm.. kind of lazy... XD
Plus, replacing the two files could cause conflict (..does it?)

Basically, should I restore the removed audio, and if yes, is there anything I need to know prior?

Yes, there's no soundtrack in the last time you go to Hell's Kitchen. Eidos/Ion Storm screwed up when releasing the game and supplied old versions of some of the maps. If you install the map patch it will fix some things (not really sure, mostly cosmetic anyway). It won't affect areas you've already entered, but it won't screw anything up either.

Actually there is an inoffical fan patch that fixes some coding issues and other small bugs.

Thank you! However, I'd rather just have the normal patch the fixes the audio. I might install this, too, though.

If you just want a specific fix for the music in that map, you could try the "08_NYC_STREET (Retail)" map file on this page:
https://sites.google.com/site/darkreality/retailvs.goty

The map file goes in \SteamApps\common\Deus Ex\Maps

Whether or not it's worth playing the level with BGM is up to you. I don't think replacing the map file would cause issues.
