Can the 10mm pistol be suppressed?

I spawn a silencer/suppressor through cheats, and it won't attach to the 10mm pistol.

It doesn't work that way, there's already the stealth pistol

You can use the crappy-but-silence/stealthed Stealth Pistol
Or
You can use the decent-but-noisy Pistol.

Would be OP if you could put a silencer on the decent pistol.

There are worse things in Deus Ex that are OP, such as the GEP GUN(Universal lockpicking device).

After you've finished the first mission and are inside UNATCO you will be given a stealth pistol.

You don't require any other weapon after that besides a retractable night stick and a selection of grenades. Maybe a sniper rifle.

Anything else takes either too much space or is redundant, unless you're playing the game more like a standard shooter. I however play the game like a superawesomehardcoreninjamofo.

Much later you'll get a nice sword however that will soon become your bff.
