Only runs in a small window

I just got Deus Ex and I can only get it to run in a small window. any attempt to make it run full screen either in its display settings or alt-enter simply causes it to go black then a few seconds later go back to small screen. My system is a windows 8.1 machine with a intel core 2 quad 2.66ghz, 4 gb ram, and an nividia gtx 260. I have verified instilation and reinstalled. does anyone know how to fix this? I can manualy resize the window but It likes to snap back to its small form randomly.

Have you tried a new renderer and Kentie's launcher?

Sorry for the delay, I've been off Steam for a while.

Try setting the correct resolution & fullscreen in Kentie's and then when you run it set the video resolution in-game to the same thing you selected in Kenties. Then restart the game.

Hello my friend. I maybe got a few solutions you could try out. My first solution is this one. When you enter the game and its in a small window try to press ALT+ENTER at the same time. If the first one doesnt work try this. - Go to Steam folder - Go to SteamApps - Go to common - Go to Deus Ex - Go to System - Go to the file called "DeusEx" which has a symbol of a piece of paper and a little tool. A noteblock will appear on the screen. Scroll down to "[WinDrv.WindowsClient]" And go to the FullscreenViewportX and Y. Here you enter your following wished resolution, such as FullscreenViewportX=1600 FullscreenViewportY=900 which i use. After you have entered your wished resolution dont forget to save it, if you press "close" it will ask you to save the changes. You say yes to that. Next time you enter the game it should probably be in fullscrenn. If none of these solutions works tell me and i will try to find some more fixes :) Have a nice day. From - NB!
