However getting them in into the same package would be tricky. If you have read the NV SDK it says that images automatically have their drawscale adjusted to match the original image by merging the low-res package with the high-res one. If you just go in and exports and import one image you would have to do this adjustment manually. However if you like you can just use another texture package, but then you need to edit the levels to use those new textures.
By the way, what do you mean "Must have been added with it"? That's the point of NV, to replace textures. He simply replaced the old low-res chopper with the hi-res one.

This and others don't show up in utx viewer searching the same folder.
I'll deduce that's probably why my maps wouldn't load in Unreal Editor 1 either. Also any time I tried saving an imported texture into Unreal Editor 2 it would rename for example, the AK_Helibase group extension ".u" instead of ".utx", and also the log would give this error trying to open NVTexture groups -
Warning: Failed loading package: Can't find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deus Ex\NVTextures\HK_Helibase.ut'
I tried renaming it with the correct extension and overwriting the old (backed up of course), but they didn't show up right.
Basically I don't want to have to mess with my Kentie/NVTextures/user.ini setups to edit or replace any textures in some levels. I'd only like to swap certain images for the time being while keeping my current config.

Would either of these links be somewhat relevant, or do they not pertain to the renderer needed? -
