No subtitles on 16:10 resolution
So I reinstalled DX and decided to max out the settings at a resolution of 1366x768 using Direct3D. Win 10

It's probably because of Win 10, i guess you could try kentie's if you haven't already.

On some resolutions it seems that the very first and last cutscenes (for all 3 endings) seem to not have subtitles just in case you were judging it from the first cutscene. Every other conversation does though.

Yeah, subtitles are generated by taking the current image (that is assumed to be 4:3) and then cropping it to 16:9 and adding the subtitles to the bottom there. Problem with that approach is that if it's already 16:9 it crops nothing and the subtitles are thus rendered below the screen. 16:10 is almost the same, but you can see a tiny black bar at the bottom.

I think Kentie's new launcher addresses this.
