The definitive way to play, even comes with achievements

Enjoy!
You don't need Revision or GMDX, Transcended is the most vanilla-friendly way to play while updating Deus Ex to modern standards
If you want something less "intrusive" to the game but adds some quality of life features, try shifter or biomod.
If you want something completely different, I can't reccomend TNM, the nameless mod enough.. Easy way to install it is through the revision betas tab, right click revision in steam goto properties and the beta tab should be in there somewhere.
:runaway:
Yea well.. real men play with a gravis analog pro joystick
We all like gmdx... It's revision that we're concerned about.. It gets pushed like it's the "definitive way", but the difference between the two are like night and day, where gmdx aims to improve on the classic game, but revision wants to just cram in everything, even if it destroys the flow of the game.
I used to use the kentie patch as well, but, now I just use Revision, for comfort reasons.
Then once you've beat the game, you can play with added enemies and changed camera/security locations.
I don't recommend Revision unless your ready to go change everything to "vanilla" in the settings. (And even then, it still assaults you with the immersion-breaking loading screens.)
And I don't recommend GMDX because it vastly changes the gameplay and feels like a completely different game. But some people like that.
