Full controller support
Played this game forever ago, but the steam page says it now has full controller support.
So is this true or is this some half baked gamepad support where you still need mkb, im just having a hard time believing this

Update: the controller does absolutely nothing in game. i think you can use steam overlay or whatever but those layouts are always terrible on games without native gamepad support

No, deus ex hasn't and never will have controller support.. Theres always the playstation 2 version you can load up in an emulator and play with a controller, but it's nothing like the pc version. Another option is to use a controller to keyboard and mouse mapper like joy2key or pinnacle.. If those are still a thing.

i suspected that. I just want to know why they think its ok to have Full Controller Support listed as a feature on the store page when it clearly does not

Edit: Also funny enough, I refunded the game as i was planning on getting it from GoG but Steam just left the game on my pc. So i guess i just get to keep it for free

I'm guessing it's just been overlooked, there are thousands of games on steam, they can't be expected to get it right all the time.

And yea if you still have the game folder you can still play it... But you will have to replace your deusex.exe with something like kenties launcher or an executable from the non steam version because the original (the one that came with steam version) has been tampered with by steam to try and prevent things like this from happening.
