How do you use the silencer mod?

Put it on a weapon

First select it in your inventory by clicking on it.
Then you'll see any weapon that the mod can be played on will be highlighted.
Just grab it and drag it onto the weapon you want silenced.

you can either put it on a assault rifle or a sniper rilfe

If you are trying to put it on the 10mm pistol it is not compatible. Maybe to give opportunity to the silenced version to shine or some other reason but you can't silence the standard 10mm pistol (or glock 49 in the GMDX version)
