White screen

I'm playing, and decide to alt-tab. Game goes full white screen and I gotta restart it to continue playing. Sometimes it won't even let me close the window so I have to restart the computer to escape the white screen as it even stops task manager from appearing on top of it. Win 10, kentie's launcher. Any help appreciated.

It would probably be the renderer your using.. Try either the direct3d10 renderer from kentie.net or the enhanced opengl or direct3d9 renderer from here: https://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/

But be aware that the game is pretty old, you might run into issues like this from time to time

Switched to dx10, seems to work better, hope it stays that way. Thanks!
