Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition

Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition

Brief Freezes Whenever I Open a Menu.
So I recently bought Deus Ex: GOTY Edition (it's my first time playing), and installed the Kentie mod to help it run better. It works great, except for one thing. Whenever I'm in game, if I try to open up any kind of menu (pause, inventory, quickload, etc.), the game will freeze, sometimes for quite a while, before the menu finally opens and I can resume. It's not constant, but there does some to be a pattern to it.

1. It only seems to occur in significant stretches if I'm in a part of the map I haven't visited yet.

2. The menu will open/close with less or no freezing afterward until I'm somewhere new on the map, where it will act up again.

As far as I can tell, it only seems to occur if I'm using Kentie's Direct3d renderer option. It doesn't seem to happen at all when I set it to "Software Render," but I get these godawful texture glitches and artifiacting. And I don't know much about the oher options.

My current version of Directx is Directx 12 if that means anything.

I have a basic knowledge of computers, but anything super advanced (like modding) is more or less beyond me without clear directions, so please be patient with me.

Yeah the Direct3D renderer was rushed and broken at release anyway. Get the far superior DirectX10 renderer. All of your problems will dissapear. Same website as Kentie's. Both renderers are totally out of date for today anyway. Also is there no DirectX9 renderer?
All you have to do is drag everything in the 'Deus Ex' subfolder into the games 'system' folder. All of the files. Just pick that renderer next time you load Kentie's.

If it's not too much trouble, could you link me directly to the DirextX10 renderer?

Are you using Borderless Window mode? Switch to Fullscreen.

That did the trick! Thanks!
Hmm, Got the DirectX10 Renderer and it does this, In fact, it only started after I installed it, though oddly enough, it didn't start right away but took a while, at first I thought it was because the application was up for too long as I left it open for a couple hours, but it doesn't appear so, as after re-launching it, it still does it, sometimes freezing for a solid 20 seconds, so you can imagine why I want to fix it, although it doesn't freeze up if I have opened the menu/inv in the last 45 seconds or so, but that doesn't really help :/

Did you check if you are using Fullscreen Mode instead of Borderless Window?

Yup, that worked, thanks! although i do prefer borderless window, freezing not considered.

EDIT:
Although every time i leave it makes the game only render smoke
