Deus Ex Multiplayer - Revival

Hey,

So after years of gaming, I always think of the original Deus Ex as the best online multiplayer experience.

The multiplayer community is dead now, and I want to bring it back. There is actually still a few servers running, and I played with a couple players. If there's any players out there that are interested in bringing back Deus Ex Multiplayer, or trying it for the first time, let me know on here. Or join my public Steam Group : DXMP

How would one go about joining one of these servers?

Gamespy shut down the master server in 2014, to see the available servers now you just have to change one line in the Deus Ex system file. It's really easy.

Here is the guide: http://www.deusexnetwork.com/masterserver

Basically all you do is this ;

If you only play Deus Ex and never host a gameserver, this is the only step that is required.
Open DeusEx.ini and find the following:
[DeusEx.MenuScreenJoinGame]
Beneath this line, there will be something in the sorts of MasterServerAddress= with a value behind it. This value will most likely be similar to: master0.gamespy.com
Replace this value with the following: master.deusexnetwork.com

Or in the guide you can just click "automatic fix" and it will do it for you.

i started the multiplayer just to see it works. there were some servers but all empty.
naybe you can organize a match with interested ppl?

Yes, that is the plan. I already found a few old players. Message me on steam when you can play
