Really low framerate?
I just started this game, and for some reason I have really low frame rates? I have a pretty good gaming laptop, so I'm confused why the frame rate is around 15....

First, download the Direct3D9 renderer and install it in Deus Ex\System.
http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/

Then download Kentie's launcher: http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/index.htm#downloads
After installation, select the newly downloaded renderer on the Configuration screen.

That should clear up any issues with frame rates.

I think I did everything you told me right. under configurations screen is the render you want me to use Direct3D Support? If I did everything right than there is still a problem since I'm getting like 20-28 fps.

No you should select Direct3D9 support.

Okay I did that, but now the framerate is like 0-1

Hmm, that's interesting. Try the OpenGL renderer from that same site you got Direct3D9 and select it in Kentie's

Also what are your specs?

The open gl worked!!! Thanks a ton! Though interesting enough I still get a few frame drops down to 58 and 59.. Suprise with a game this ancient.

My specs are these

Intel Core i7-4700HQ 2.4GHz (Turbo 3.4GHz) Haswell
24 GB DDR3; HD Version
128GB SSD * 2 + 1TB 5400 RPM HDD
Nvidia GTX780M 4GB GDDR5

I was going to install the mod to make it a bit better looking, but now I'm a bit worried. What do you think?

Well, I'd recommend installing both New Vision and HDTP.

And the map patch.

I changed the texture color depth from 16 bit to 32 bit and it works way better now.

Hey again. I recently reset my computer to factory settings, and now I'm trying to reinstall all of my mods. However when I try to run Kentin mod I get "the program can't start because Engine.dll is missing from you computer". What should I do?

Hmm, sounds like you are not installing Kentie's mod in the correct folder. It should be in Deus Ex\System, replacing your original deusex.exe that's there.

Go in Game Options in the menu and there’s a option that defaults to 16-bits texture. Just flip that to 32-bits and exit the game and open it back up.

Hello everyone. After few try, i found the problem. It come from the MSAA in "affichage".
With MSAA, i'm at 40 fps. Without, i'm at 230fps. I also disable DirectX12.
Enjoy the game :)
