RTGI and Reshade not working properly with Deus Ex
Seems like no matter what I do, I can only get RTGI and MXAO to work with JC's hands. On another PC I also got it working with the environment and NPC's, but it seems that no matter what I do, I cannot replicate the results. (I already disabled msaa, messed around with displaydepth and copydepth, nothing seems to work).

Anyone can help? Theres literally no other game im struggling to get RTGI to work with. It would mean a lot for me.

Did you finally get it working? If i turn on displaydepth the game turns completely black. Also the game has no real time shadows, so probably there's the rub.

I got it working partially (either the map + npcs OR JC's hands) but I swear i got it working flawlessly the first time. You can find more info here https://www.nexusmods.com/deusex/mods/63

Hey, how did you get RTGI to work on the environment and npc's? For me it only works on JC's hands. I would rather have no RTGI on JC's hands but on the environment and npcs. It seems like the deep access is only available on JC's hands and I don't know why. I have handled ingame with the DX11 render setting as well, turned off HDR, set Antialiasing to 0 etc.
Also added the ReShade.txt with the specified lines... all did nothing.

And where is the RTGI 0.21 (non beta recommended) version available? I have already asked and searched on the Marty McFly Discord and it seems that there are only beta versions of RTGI so I don't really understand.

Check out the preprocessor definitions that I left on the nexusmods page, copy that on your reshade.txt file and try again

Nevertheless I still have the same problem. I also use GMDX, I don't know if that could be a problem too?

No as long as you have directx11 installed and running GMDX is not an issue, quite the contrary

You need to have the EXACT RTGI version I specified there, (cant remember which one right now). Also try the reshade version thats only for singleplayer games.

Also im not sure about anti aliasing right now, as long as you have depth buffer copied it should be working.

But yeah its an insane hassle and I wish I could help you a bit more, but I havent done the process in over 6 months.

So I think this video might have the solution I'm going to try it tonight. I've been trying for days to get rtgi to work in deus ex and it looks like since it runs on the same engine as unreal 1 the settings this guy talks about for directx might apply the same way.

Ah that's your vid?? I've watched it before lol that's awesome! I do have one problem. My gun model is semi transparent when enabling the copy of the depth part in the add ons section of reshade any idea how to fix that?

Yeah I had a lot of people complain about the transparent hand thing. You know the thing's that reshade and rtgi are constantly being updated, so what once worked no longer does. DE is a weird game to get it right, but if you try different rtgi/reshade versions it should work.
