Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition

Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition

How to run game on Windows 11?
I just picked up this bad boy after hearing nothing but good things about it for years. How do I properly run it on Windows 11? I heard about something called a community update mod but wanna get your guys‘ input.

Kentie’s launcher is the minimum you need. But if you want a more polished vanilla experience, Transcended fixes a lot of vanilla bugs while remaining true to the original. Transcended includes all you need, no need for Kentie’s beforehand.

Thank you. I installed Kentie's Launcher however when I configure the game files on the launcher before starting the game, I have it set to be in full screen to my resolution (2560x1440). However when I launch the game, it only shows it as a window, not even full screen boarderless. Is that normal?

Did you try giving a look inside the option menu? You probably just need to make it fullscreen.

I'm not sure this game has borderless built in. I mean, maybe it has but I don't think so/I don't remember seeing that.

EDIT: I mean the ingame menu btw. Also, changing renderers might also work.

Deus Ex Revision (the mod youre referring to) is a decent way to experience the game, just remember to tick all the additional ♥♥♥♥ off in the settings menu if you want a vanilla experience

as for vanilla, ive beaten the game fully vanilla without rebinding anything on windows 10 a few months ago (mostly because I was lazy and didnt wanna ♥♥♥♥ with mods or controls at the time) I dont think windows 11 should present any issue

Does it fix that AI quirk when you disable a bot?

I’m sorry. I wasn’t specific enough.

The one thing I really liked is that enemies in transcended will not bother attacking disabled bots. In vanilla they do which is ackward because they got no reason to care while you’re nuking them with weapons.

It’s something you eventually run into if you do a lot of hacking and using bots. Completely ruins the moment every time it happens.

I’m just curious to know if revision has this fix.

Youll need an updated renderer aswell.. http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/ Download the dxglr20.zip or 21, extract it in the deus ex/system folder and set the renderer to opengl from the launcher
