Game is too dark?

Just bought this legendary game and while playing the tutorial i noticed the game is too dark and i cant fix it what should i do??

Once you setup Kentie's Launcher, set the renderer to OpenGL. This allowed the brightness setting to work, otherwise I'd be in the dark as you are.

I did a fresh install of this two days ago on a potato PC and it works flawlessly.

Find DeusEx.ini

Right-click and Edit the file...

Edit this Line:

hey, I did this and it saved me from the too dark pain but now the contrast is too much, even after quitting the game the contrast was toooo high that I had to reconfigure it from the windows settings. I didnt relaunch the game after fixing the contrast from windows hope it doesnt happen again
edit:relaunched the game, contrast got higher again. how can I fix this issue? it changes windows settings directly that I have to go and fix from windows.
