I've heard of somewhere that givers more insight into characters and the such. On the wiki for some characters in the game there's a biography written on them that seems to be from somewhere but not the manual or anywhere I can find.

It's also worth noting that the character biographies on the Deus Ex wiki encompasses the entire Deus Ex universe, including the recent Deus Ex games published by Square Enix, the comics and the novels. For example, many of the main characters (Bob Page, Stanton Dowd, Lucius DeBeers) play significant roles in Human Revolution/Mankind Divided, while Gunther Hermann appears in 'Deus Ex: Icarus Effect' by James Swallow, which was published in 2011 and set around the events of Human Revolution.
