GMDX Silencer?

Currently playing GMDX at Medium difficulty level. I haven't been able to find the silencer mod for my sniper rifle. I *really* hate alerting every guard within earshot when if fire that damn thing!

Does anyone know where one can be found - or are they randomly distributed? Thanks.

On the first time you go to Hell's Kitchen, in the 'Ton Hotel, there's one in the closet in Paul's bedroom. I can't remember where any more are, though.

Perhaps the distribution is random because I checked everywhere in Paul's apartment; the closet, the cupboard in his bedroom and the 'secret' area behind the bookcase.
And the lady on the junk in Hong Kong didn't have one either.

If I recall correctly, the silencer is actually there on a later visit to Hell's Kitchen in Paul's cupboard. Could be wrong.

I believe there are enough silencers in GMDX for you to silence the pistol, sniper rifle, and assault rifle -- they might not all be easy to find.

Thanks but I think the distribution must be random. I've taken every opportunity to revisit Paul's apartment and searched it thoroughly each time. I check there mainly because there is usually more stuff in the secret area, although nothing really valuable after the first time..

It's not the lady in the junk who sells you the silencer; it's available for c2500 in the Quick Stop near the lucky money, if you're playing GMDX.

Also, I can assure you that the items in GMDX aren't randomized by any means, so I have no idea why you're not finding the silencer in Paul's bedroom, since it should be there on all difficulties.

Found it! Thanks, I had to go back to a long forgotten save but it was there in his bedroom closet.

There is also a silencer in the electronics room on the upper deck of the Wall Cloud.
