I already answered it, because blade was a thing during the time AND J.C needed a look. That's just marketing. He was a replicant hunter rather than vampire hunter. He wore his sun glasses at night as so they would KNOW NOT to SWITCH THE BLADE ON THE GUY IN THE SHADES! .. oh no.
nope, Blade was always vampire hunter

He told me that Riot Games made League of Legends but Riot Games wasn't even on his list of game developers. All in all, he's a manipulator of truth and you shouldn't listen to his snake sizzling.

I'm two months late, but that's some crud bait from the OP.

:steamhappy: Yeah, it's a dead game, but it's still an achievement in gaming history, just look at ROTT, Wolf3D, DOOM and Quake as well as Unreal. All founded and created by small companies Apogee and id. Deus Ex should be in the hall of fame with those classics. Along with all of the great stuff these other developere came up with during the 90's thru early 2000.

How can we forget those founding studios that came up with some of the greatest and industry changing stuff?

Apogee & 3DRealms
Bethseda
Bohemia
Crytek
CSG Gameworld (STALKERrrrr!)
DMA
Epic Games
Gearbox
Gray Matter
id Software,
ION STORM!
Innerloop Studios
Monolith
Raven (Soldier of Fortune 1 & 2)
Red Storm
Remedy
Valve
Westwood
Xatrix Entertainment (KINGPIN)

All of the belong in the hall of fame of video game evolution.

Which of these made Comandos2 Men Of Courage?

No bait. Just a fair, critical and objective observation backed by facts and I wanted to hear actual answers why. Maybe even from developers of this awesome awesome videogame themeselves.

i know, but default Denton is of lighter skin tone. In general it seems too weird and too random decision to pull off.
Like if he was inspired after Decard or Keanu Reeves movies even.

It's pretty well understood that Denton's design draws inspiration from The Matrix and Blade

Blade started the comic book genre of movies, way before Iron Man finally nailed it home with the normies.

Why wouldn't you credit that to Spider-man 1 & 2?

well, Blade came before
And if we being pedant and honest it is Bryan Singer's X-Men first

my question is WHY Blade. Why vampire hunter is inspiration for cyberpunk game? Also recently was recalling Spider-Man TAS and remembered that it had Blade (although pre-Snipes influence, and with irony spin on his name because of saturday cartoon censorship, so only "blade" about him was arrow in his crossbow) with laser sword similar to nanoblade https://youtu.be/B2383o2YOeI
inb4: yeah nanoblade also is similar to lightsaber so what
No lightsaber has cylindrical shape of "blade" (plasma. whatever) with cone, or round at the end.
While Spider-Man TAS's Blade sword just like Nanoblade in Deus Ex is clearly flat shaped rectangle with triangle at the "tip". Plus it has this chinese "motif" at it's handle, again just like nanoblade.

Looks like as if Ion Storm had some Blade franchise fans at the time of making game.

Because it looks cool

Deus Ex is so near-future that it hardly qualifies as cyberpunk anyway
