The damn F12 bind

No matter what I do fellas (or girls on that rare off-chance), whether I change the bind in game, delete then change it, edit BOTH of the instances F12 shows up in the User.ini, the F12 bind will always turn my light aug on no matter what. Is there something I've missed? Some other people seem to have been able to get past it!

Help would be much appriciated.

And I'll stop replacing the lemon-limes with orange if you help me thanks.

To my knowledge, F12 is a hard bound aug key. The solution is to simply change the steam screenshot key to something else (Like on the numpad or something.)

Try setting the user.ini to read only

Try binding it in game as well. Press T erase say then type bindkey YOURKEY ActivateAugmentation 9

This game has support for different hard-coded augmented keys. Just look for F1-F12 in the in-game keyboard options.
Those work for use on other keys.
I.E. F12 to F, that'll be a flashlight bind of F12.

I just tried and was able to assign the flashlight to another key ( right bracket ) but it was still bound to F12 as well. I doubt that can be changed, but at least it means you don't have to use F12 for the flashlight.

That was made as a backup feature to the controls incase someone screwed something in the binds. The spare F1-F12 keys were made for custom made stuff. Besides, how often are you gonna press F12 for those ORIGINAL screenshots?

Okay I found a solution! I think you need the Kentie launcher/fixes though, maybe, maybe not. But in your documents folder, either on it's own or under 'My Games'. There is a Deus Ex file and you have to edit the keybinds from the DOCUMENTS Deus Ex User.ini, now I can screenshot away to my heart's content without the flashlight photobombing me!
