Game is much to dark / Spiel ist viel zu dunkel

Hi my Deus Ex is so dark you can hardly see anything and the brightness option in the game does nothing. How can I fix that?

Hi mein Deus Ex is so dunkel, man kann kaum irgendwas sehen und die Helligkeits Option macht scheinbar rein gar nichts. Jemand eine Idee wie ich das hin bekomme, dass mein Deus Ex heller ist?

This happens if you're using the Hardware renderer and running the game in windowed mode.

I'd recommend installing Deus Exe[kentie.net] and the Direct3D10 renderer[kentie.net].

The D3D10 renderer can adjust the brightness in windowed mode. Alternatively, you can just switch to the Software renderer, but the D3D10 renderer has a lot of other neat features.
