Is the plasma rifle worth holding onto?

It takes up so much space in my inventory and I haven't seen ammo for it in a while. Is it worth keeping for the later part of the game? I'm about to go to Paris.

It's personal choice. I've played the game a long time and I never carry the plasma rifle. But that means nothing. Try a game without it. This game lets you play it however you like.

In my experience its kind of a novelty weapon. Sure, it looks and SOUNDS cool. But it's shots are inconsistent, if it hits anything near you, you take damage as well. And it's damage is alright I guess. Although if you have the targeting aug and maxed out heavy skill the spread is reduced to practically nothing, and can make it a decent weapon.

As for for ammo, it's pretty rare but if you can knock out the Men in Black (Instead of killing them, which causes them to explode) you can loot them and get some plasma clips.
