It should fix the brightness issue, as well as any performance problems that you may have. Make sure to switch the renderer in the in-game menu!
EDIT: Actually, also check out Kentie's launcher too: http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/index.htm
It doesn't change anything about the game at all, but it provides a bunch of neat options that you can use to tweak graphical or performance settings. Although this is purely optional.
EDIT: Is it normal for my screen to look kinda weird after switching to OpenGL for that game? Even after exiting out of the game, it's like my screen's been tinted with white.
I hope you changed it from pop up window which comes up when you start the game?
Does the GOG version not have this problem? I was about to buy the game here, but I'll wait to get it on GOG if the Steam version has issues the GOG one doesn't.
Also, as an added bonus, all their games are without DRM.
Yeah, I'll usually buy GOG when it's an otherwise even choice. I'm not against Steam though, and the current sale is tempting. But I'm also far from starved for new games to play in my library, so waiting is no problem. Thanks for the reply, though.
nothing helps, i wanna make videos that does not looks like diving inside anus with deus ex hud on top xD
