Has anyone been able to run this on the steam deck yet?

I tried it on the steam deck and the controls are not very intuitive. Are you using a community controller setup or the default one?

I solely plan to play this on the Deck, so would like to know how to best set it up to do so. Hoping that the full release has a few more native options to do so.

Game looks great on the Deck though BTW, and you can scale the UI - I had no issues reading all the text on the Deck with the scaled UI.

Looking really good - really excited for 1.0, just need to work on my controller setup.

Does the demo work on Steam Deck for anyone? I can't get it to launch.

Mr Ash shared a solution for this problem:

"For anyone wanting to play the demo on Linux, you'll need to use protontricks to install the MFC140 dll. You can find youtube videos going through the exact same process but for another game."

Since the SteamDeck uses Linux and proton it is the way to go.

This is disappointing. The developer should fix the demo so it launches on Steam Deck.

It is not a matter of fixing the demo but of an updated proton version.

This far, none.
Until a proton version which handles the newer versions of foundation correctly is released, use protontricks to install mfc140.dll.
It is not that hard, especially if you follow a youtube tuturial.

I got the dll installed via protontricks, but I get a Shader Compilation Error. Shader: Native/ssgi [FRAGMENT] is in the error box and it says to verify my graphics drivers are up to date(they are) and that I meet the minimum requirements(I do).

Same for me. On Steam Deck and on Ubuntu Laptop with AMD APU.
Maybe the error message is related to AMD Graphics?

After some researching the error code, I do believe it is related to the game not recognizing AMD or something related. AMD isn't in the recommended, or minimum, specs on the store page, but that usually doesn't matter.

I have the paid version and play on the OLED steam deck and it plays fine for me. Only issue I had was with a mod (took it out and works fine again).
