saved files gone

hi, I last played the game in jan/feb this year and after opening it today, it showed me that there were no games to load, all my saved files from both villages were gone. i tried going on the steam cloud but it only has files from jan 2023 when I first started the game. is there a way to get my latest saves back? I don't even know how they disappeared or could have gotten deleted.

If you used Steam cloud saving they should be there, neither Steam nor the game automatically delete files.

If you used local saves then they should be under the Documents folder for Foundation unless you are using a Steam launch option to move the saved data folder somewhere else on your machine.

If they are fully gone from both locations then you most likely deleted them by accident and they cannot be recovered.
