can't launch the game anymore (no crash/nothing happens)

Hi,

I can't launch the game anymore.
It might be since the last update, but I can't tell for sure as I haven't played to Foundation since a few months.

When I try to launch the game, nothing happens.
Steam displays "lancé" (launched) for a few seconds, but the game doesn't not launch at all.
And then, the launching button within Steam is displayed again, as if the game was closed.

There is no foundation.log file on my computer, so I can't send one to you.
But I have forwarded my dxdiag to [e-mail]

Hey, for a start make sure the foundation.exe is in your antivirus' exclusions list.

If that doesn't help then I would recommend trying this launch option on Steam:

-userpath c:\foundationdata

same issue, checked antivirus and one drive, even removed all saved file and reinstall the game, try the launch option still not able to launch the game

Are you sure you input the launch option correctly with the leading - sign in place?

What exactly is your case? Does the game launch and no window appears? Does it crash while loading? Other?

same issue, its in the task bar on bottom, hear music, but cant open the window, but clicking it does let me X out of it.

as for Launch option or anti virus why would that of changed in the last couple of years?

If the game starts but no window opens that means that something on your PC is blocking the game's visual output. The most likely culprit for such a situation is an antivirus mistaking the game for a malicious application.

I figured it out whats happen and now I can launch the game

I start the game via steam, after the cloud synchronize box close, nothing come out.
I hv check its not block by the antivirus or one drive, reinstall, reset the path, but nothing change either

When I try to open the game .exe at folder, it show error code 0xc000012f.
look up from the internet saying its about the visualization/C++,
then I notice that I haven't install any since I changed to new device.
I just go to the wrong direction while solving problem, as I launch and play all other game with no trouble

Can also be the one drive, or anything else because the foundation.exe have been reload and its CRC and date changed...
Just in case, have you read the advices in steam support ? and tried -userpath as Minotorious said ?

It was one drive, Had my IT buddy that plays the game Zoom me and fixed the issue.
