Game cannot be ended after quitting.

In update 1.7 the latest, after quitting the game, the game still run in background process. Stop button on steam page of foundation non functional. Have to end all by using task manager.

That is a known Steam issue, according to other posts it usually fixes itself after a while but from a quick google I don't see anything you can really do to fix it.

You can try verifying the game's files on steam or reinstalling it but I don't believe the issue is related.

well i already verify and reinstalling but it does not seem to work. but well i guess just use the task manager for a while.

i cant even shut it off in task manager as it doesnt appear there. I have to go so far as logging off of steam and restarting my puter. Even then when I log back onto steam then foundation and hit start, its a 50/50 toss if the game will start. Usually a small error window pops up saying something to the effect of "cant find log on one drive." Ive gotten rid of one drive long ago or at least to the best of my knowledge I have. Have no need of cloud service. So then I log off and restart again ...wash rinse repeat maybe a couple more times till I can get the game going again. This doesnt happen on other steam games I play.

when open task manager, press F word till u find the foundation name. it is there somewhere. i didn't find it before until my little brother help me hehe

Ummm.... I couldnt find the f word anywhere on the task manager window but I did find a "fewer details" tab at the bottom left of that window and that helped me find an f word in a bigger list of tasks running so I could stop foundation from running ....lol

haha the f word is on keyboard. anyway as long as its working ^_^. hope they fix this soon though.

same problem. the only things working is:
1. exit foundation
2. exiting steam
3. restarting computer
4. opening foundation again

Same problem - after I exit the game Steam says it's still running, can't find it in task manager. Restarting Steam doesn't always work and sometimes I also get 'cannot acces log' message. Had to reinstall the game couple of times already!

Nope, tried that, if I try to quit the game in standard way, Foundation dissapears from task manager but Steam shows it's still working.

It is always still there in the task manager, it can be under steam (click the little triangle icon next to Steam to see the sub-processes) in which case it won't come up if you search for it by typing letters or as a standalone process.

But we have let the devs know and will be looking into this in case it happened by accident on their end.

game wont 'stop' even though its stopped

the game will not stop when i exit from menu. if i alt f4 it allows me to at least end the game from my system tray but now i have to manually kill steam and re-log in and, verify my integrity to play again.

Hello,

I am having the exact same issue, with another issue added on top of that -

When I exited the game, it stays "running" and the process wont shut itself down. When I exit steam and force exit the process, the process is still running somehow but I can not manually close it or find it in the task manager.

Restarting the computer is the only thing that seems to fix the issue - however, after restarting, when I launch the game it gives me the fatal error:

"can not create script" - so I go to delete the Polymorph folder in my documents - then the game will launch. However, when exiting the process still "runs" and then the entire loop starts again - when I restart the computer to kill the hanging process, when I try to relaunch it gives the fatal error can not create script again
