Just a small note, you don't need to store everything that can be harvested in the game and definitely not in large quantities.
I personally build warehouses/granaries like this:
1) berries, fish, bread, cheese (for market supply)
2) wood, planks, stone, tools
3) wool, cloth, clothes, clothes
4) wheat, flour, bread, bread
5) iron, coal, iron bars, tools
etc. keeping them to a bare minimum
Could even allow the sliders to all go to 100 and when the warehouse is full, too bad.
