Was hoping it would at least get to the point I could make a save game and switch to my deck but nope. Could play it before 1.0 on this laptop so this new release is very poorly optimised.
And the main colours of the coat of arms don't work, the secondary colours do work but the primary nope
Still nothing for choosing the map type though, I tried odd resolutions and fiddling with some settings but no go.
- change UI Scale?
- resolution?
- display mode (full/windowed)
some have these issue at steam deck, others on pc(windows/linux?)
I've personally tried all of this, adjusting it incrementally and seeing if it changes things.
EDIT: I've done another pass and plugging an older monitor in. The old monitor does allow me to pick map types and coat of arms colours but it's incredibly hard to see using this older monitor.
It might also be something with the new 1.0 version as I could pick the different map types while it was still the early access version on this current monitor which is having issues.
