Builders won't build a bridge

This is an assumption, but it's the only reason it would make sense that my four builders in my small village totally refuse to build that bridge, even though all planks are already added.

I started the bridge building from the other shore. And it seems like it matters where you start your building, as that might be the place they want to start to build. Obviously they can't, because the first part is on the other side of the shore.

If this is true, I think this should DEFINITELY be fixed. I have no more wood on my two parcels, already did reforestation, and bridges need a LOT of planks. No way I'm going to tear it down and build it again...

Please let me know if I'm wrong and if there's a way to make my builders build that bridge, which doesn't involve more bridges.

From the screenshot it looks like you simply need to wait a bit for the builders to get to it.

Do you maybe have other constructions going on in your village that are closer to the builder's hut than this bridge?

Also try running the game at 3x to get it done faster

I have waited for ages. Four builders. They brought the material. Then they built houses, a barn, a windmill and now they are idle. I also prioritized the bridge from the beginning.

I see you have prioritised all parts but one in the bridge try prioritising either all or none to see if that fixes your issue.

Other than that run the game at 3x for a bit and follow a few of your builders around to see what exactly they do.

Just as a side note the bridge you have placed is most likely too close to the shore to be usable by villagers, you would need to build it more in land to be safe.

Thank you, I will try to prioritize all and then watch the builders. I was wondering if the bridge was long enough, but it was my first game with bridges and I was slightly shocked at the number of planks they need. I made the "mistake" to choose my first plot on an island so nobody could reach my village center. So I built another short bridge where the other land was closest. But this time part of my second parcel is on the other side and I need it :)

You were right, the bridge was bugged. When I loaded the save, the bridge was totally gone. No blueprint, not the sides, nothing.

So I built a new bridge and got the planks via reforestation.

The builders immediately brought the material and started building. And when it was done, I could not believe my eyes, out of thin air they brought the old missing bridge into existence which was right next to it, still with all the planks in there, and wanted to build that one, too.

oh no it wasn't bugged that happens currently with bridges, if construction hasn't started by the builders when you reload the bridge models visually disappears but it is there and ready for construction to start ;)

But otherwise glad it worked now you can simply delete the old bridge and be good to go :)
