can I ask? is stuck people already fixed?

(I don't want to start a new game if it's not fixed yet)
Honestly, it's not game breaking. I don't know how far along you got but right now I have more space than I know what to do with, and probably a half dozen free zones saved up. I can make as much space for houses as I want.

The error window is reporting: "I am stuck while going going to socket_3" every time a warehouse worker picks up cheese. He then drops the cheese after 1 second and goes on free time. The cheese is never picked up and the cheese makers stops working because he is full of cheese.

The problem was with the granary. I build a different granary and it was able to pick up 3 cheese at a time from 53 cheese. (Because the bugged granary had 50 reserved that it never could pick up.) I deleted the bugged granary and turns out underneath it there was a construction site for a stone cutter camp that never got build.

This warning means that one of the granary entrances was blocked by something the granary itself wasn't bugged

Please be careful placing decorations around functional buildings. I placed a few cranes & carts around a cramped iron mine on top of a mountain with limited access area. Deleted the decors & the iron mine was left with just 2 quarries. The issue resolved itself. So the idea is to not have anything that blocks access to any building (producer or consumer buildings) for the flow of goods to be smooth.

Same issue. Pop of 255 and now its crashing because a sizeable chunk of people are stuck in a loop. Plenty of space around the openings and all buildings functioned fine before.

The cause of stuck villagers is most likely a result of blocked entrances to buildings that you have built too close to each other.

When placing any building it is important to note two things, the green arrows and the light blue border.

The green arrows are entrances and they all need to be free for the villagers to use, i.e. if a building has many arrows they all need to be accessible as the building needs them for different things, e.g. pick up location, drop off location, etc.

The light blue border is the collider, that is what the villagers are not allowed to walk through so you should always have a path sized gap between colliders of different buildings unless you know what you are doing.

Regarding houses, when they spawn they reserve the space around them for their upgraded form that means that you should not build anything inside your existing residential zone after houses have spawned as you risk them upgrading inside the extra buildings you placed. Houses do not check for collisions when upgrading as they have checked and reserved the space already.

Other than that feel free to drop us the save file here to check and advise you in your specific case regarding your stuck villagers.

On the Valley map, my fisherman is stuck in a boat trying to go to a fishing spot. There is a mineral deposit area over the river (the giant hill of stone thing) and the fishing spot is under it in the river. I can't get him unstuck. I'm afraid other fishers will eventually wind up also stuck there. Is there something I can do to get him unstuck? Is this a map generation thing (i.e. abandon this game play-through and start a new Valley map game)? Or will all Valley maps have this same "fishers get stuck here" issue?
Thanks!

That fish spot should indeed be unreachable for the fishermen, once another spot respawns the fisherman should get unstuck and go there instead

Not to beat a dead horse but, I have to let it out somewhere. I started a new game, and upon getting all my starter buildings up and running my lumber camp workers are unable to reach their workplace despite it working fine before and I had not made any additional structures that would cause the sudden issue. I eventually gave up and tried starting a new game and ate the hour I wasted on that town. I start a new game, and again, same issue but in a different map. I try destroying and rebuilding the lumber camp and at first the problem seems to be fixed, but it eventually reappears. I've wasted most of my starting tools at this point from destroying and rebuilding the lumber camp multiple times. At this point I'm feeling pretty bitter and would rather not invest anymore of my time trying to make it work.

I was hopeful it might be a bug that would be ironed out in the near future but after finding this 2 year old thread I'm not feeling so optimistic about there being a fix on the way. Such a shame, cause the game is very charming and shows a lot of promise if not for this sort of thing.

Could you please post a screenshot or share the save file with us? We are not aware of any such issue with the woodcutters' hut so the most likely case is that you might have missed something.

You can join our discord server for quicker and more direct support (as well as easier sharing of files/screenshots) or send an email to support@polymorph.games

I have this game since Gog release, and I have tried it 3 times in the past, every time being disappointed after some key villagers got stuck and ruined everything. Every time.

Today, 2021, I jumped back in, only to find the same issues (villagers stuck in churches blocking religious service, builders getting stuck loop "...working/going to work" , basically GAME RUINING.

2 years time and game is still in the same state as back then. Unplayable.

99% of stuck villagers are due to user error . . . most likely blocking entrances/exits or problems caused by mods. Given that a huge number of players can play just fine, I would not characterize the game as "unplayable." Hope you'll upload your game so that we can take a look. I've found the cause of errors like this for a lot of other players. It's usually something very simple that can be corrected by changing how or where something is built.

Sometimes (rarely) I get a red warning about a stuck villager. When I look at him he is just standing around - and a few seconds later he/she goes on working or whatever. Never had a problem ...
