I would recommend for a start trying running steam and the foundation.exe as administrator as well as adding the path to the foundation.exe to your antivirus' exclusions list
Definitely no background window, can't even see it anywhere in taskmanager even in processes. Added an exclusion just now in Anti-virus/firewall as well as running as administrator just in case but says already running in administrator. Thanks for suggestions anyways though. I'm not having any issues with games except this one
Just FYI a background "safe" window started by the antivirus does indeed not show up in the task manager
Yea I still haven't been able to solve it for myself either....let me know if you find anything that works thanks
Did the launch option not work either?
If you cannot complete the download that is a steam client related issue and not game related, you can contact their support for further assistance as there isn't anything we can really do about that.
- perform a "Clean install" of your GPU drivers. These can often become corrupt and is a common issue. A clean install should fix this
- For Nvidia: In GeForce experience choose "custom install" > check the box for "Perform clean installation"
- For AMD: you can use the AMD driver removal tool[www.amd.com] then reinstall the most recent drivers
- Check for Windows updates
- run both Steam and the foundation.exe as an adminstrator. locate both > right click on the .exe then "run as admin". This will often show if there are further issues such as missing Microsoft runtime files
- Clear your Steam download cache
- add an exception to your antivirus for the Game as well as the 'Polymorph Games' Folder in Documents. You can also temporarily disable your antivirus to check if this is the issue
If after doing the above you are still having issues, please send us
1) your foundation.log file located here: \Documents\Polymorph Games\Foundation
2) a Dxdiag report. More info on how to run Dxdiag can be found here[support.microsoft.com]
You can send both files to support@polymorph.games where we will investigate further
If the above information did not help with your issue it could also be that your antivirus is blocking the game's visual output, try adding exceptions for both the foundation.exe as well as the Foundation Documents folder.
