New 1.7 UI unplayable
Had about 135 hours of relatively trouble-free play prior to May this year. Returned to try out the new interface. Game is now completely unplayable due to indecipherable or invisible text, garbled UI images, and various UI elements remaining undrawn.

Difficult to describe so I have attached a few screenshots at my profile page:
https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198001551377/home/

I don't think the problem is purely related to UI scaling, as it manifests at the default scale of 1, and my previous scaling factor of 1.5, and other scales I have tried. Tried re-installing the game files and disabling earlier local config and save files, all to no effect.

Version 1.7.8.0622
Resolution is at the default (set by the game) for my screen:
<Resolution x="2880" y="1800"/>

I was able to blind-navigate the UI to load my last save file, and the actual simulation appears to run fine. It is just the UI that is broken.

Hope dev team can fix this as the game is now dead to me!

That doesn't look right, a few things to try as this looks more of a graphics issue rather than a game one:

1) Verify Game Files on Steam
2) Clean installation of your GPU drivers (you can do that via the custom install option in GeForce Experience or the equivalent for AMD cards)

If the issue persists after doing both these things please send us a dxdiag log to try and help you further.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have re-installed the game on steam, and verified files. I have recently updated graphics drivers on my system and confirmed they are up-to-date via the AMD Radeon Pro tool. I will forward you a copy of the dxdiag log as well as the foundation.log file and the usersetting.config file.

New UI makes game unplayable
I did install the latest patch promising a new UI. But I can't see buttons or if I guess the correct button to resume the game, the menu makes no senses at all.

I did verify game files and I did check that my AMD software is up to date.

Make sure you perform a clean installation of the latest GPU drivers, that means uninstalling them and installing them again.

If it doesn't work please send us a dxdiag log to support@polymorph.games to look into it further.

Complete reinstalling of GPU drivers did not help at all

ok that is interesting, please do send us the dxdiag log to the email above so that our CM and the team can take a better look and fix the issue

This is the identical problem I reported yesterday, here:

Same screen appearance and all.

The team is looking into it, I have passed your files on to them too :)

I have merged these 2 threads as they are the same issue being caused by the same problem.

It looks like you are both running the game on Apple PCs (through Bootcamp?)

The GPU drivers you are using are quite old with AMD not having updated them for some time. Additionally, Bootcamp is not supported by the game and as such, there is little we are going to be able to do to fix an issue that is being caused by Bootcamp and AMDs old drivers.

You could check Bootcamp forums, contact AMD or even look at 3rd party sites as there are newer drivers available but we cannot advise on those drivers or sites.

Other than this we can only recommend to run the game on a Windows PC

I can confirm, that I use Win10 on Bootcamped iMac. It is the first time when I had any issue playing games on it, but due to the lack of regular updates of drivers, it was expected.

I did google for the third-party drivers and they made a job for me. To make it safe, rather wait for the official AMD update or do this at your own risk understanding what you are doing.

I have exactly the same problem. Also running the game on Bootcamp and I have a AMD Radeon 5500M videocard. AMD driver problem I guess. :( I hope I find a solution for it.

I found a sollution, but this one is at own risk! I found new 2021 unofficial AMD Bootcamp drivers and now the problem is solved! You can find them here: https://www.bootcampdrivers.com/
